Job Description
Legal Secretary required in a very busy conveyancing department in a city centre office. A candidate is required for a 2 month contract to start ASAP. All candidates must have held a previous placement in a conveyancing department with good knowledge of land registry documents. duties will include the following :-  To provide Cost effective support to the Property Teams within the Department.  File creation and preparation of files in accordance with Lexcel Procedures.  Generation of suitable client care correspondence and chasing up the return of the same from the client.  Obtain completed files from the Property Department.  Strict diary management with regard to all key dates and co-ordination of the key date’s reminder system as outlined in the Office Manual.  Scheduling and dispatching of mortgage deeds to the lender.  Following strict closing down procedures in accordance with LEXCEL.  Dealing wherever possible with routine client estate agent broker enquiries and communications in a professional and diligent manner.  To undertake any specific training when required to do so and overall to have a responsibility towards self-development.  To ensure the confidentiality of all the firm’s and client’s documentation and information  Any other reasonable tasks as required by your Fee Earner, Team Leader or the Operational Manager of the relevant department.
