Job Description
Our client is a top ‘Legal 500’ firm with over 500 staff throughout the UK and Europe the practice continues to grow. Clients include banks, insurance, healthcare, construction and rail industries.
The Clinical Negligence team is looking to recruit a defendant clinical negligence solicitor to work in the Cambridge office. Ideally the candidate will have one years post qualification experience although recently qualified and more senior lawyers will be considered.
Candidates should have previous experience of defendant work preferably working for a NHSLA Panel firm.
In return candidates will have the opportunity to join work for the Healthcare team which advises hospitals, their insurers, trusts and healthcare professionals on clinical negligence and health law advice.
The department acts for the National Health Service Litigation Authority and for over 60 trusts and primary care trusts. In addition the healthcare team:-
Acts for medical malpractice insurers of private hospitals and clinics and is retained by a number of private hospitals.
Acts on instructions from insurers on various schemes including optometrists, chiropractors and osteopaths as well as GPs and dentists.
Represents healthcare professionals in disciplinary and regulatory matters.
